About me

me 1After 12 years of working in Financial Services in the City of London, I jumped off the cliff and followed my heart back to the classroom.

I have been teaching English at Secondary level in South London for the past 5 years. I hold curriculum responsibility for KS3 (ages 11 – 15) in my current school but teach 11 – 18.

My passion is studying Literature, learning to write as readers and read as writers.

My degree is in English Literature and Creative Writing. I am working towards an MA in Creative Writing.

When I’m not in the classroom, I am kept busy by three daughters barrelling towards teenage years: noisy, chaotic and I wouldn’t change a single moment.

  1. I love the visuals you’ve created with The Turn of the Screw. I’ve been teaching for several years, but this is my first year teaching this novel. I’d love to hear what has worked for you. The graphics look amazing with the maps, but I’m curious what the assignment was. Would you be willing to share a few assignments and share ideas about things that have worked for you? Thank you!
